Harris Poll recently conducted the Intuit TurboTax Health Survey, designed to gauge respondents’ knowledge of Obamacare taxes as they relate to their taxes. Unfortunately, the poll revealed that just under 50% of Americans don’t realize they need to report their health insurance coverage status on their 2014 tax returns.

Over 2,000 adults in the United States over 18 years of age were questioned. The poll showed just how many people still don’t know how Obamacare and their health insurance relates to their taxes.

For 2015 and beyond, the Affordable Care Act requires that Americans prove they hold qualifying health insurance while filing their 2014 taxes.
